Surreal painting of a woman surrounded by swirling skulls

Painting fantastic creatures, strange places, and dreamlike feelings, Brandon’s artwork is inspired by literature, dark fables, as well as gothic horror.

A painting of a large, gentle creature resembling a troll with a flower-covered head, protectively holding a small girl in a white dress, set in a mystical, lush forest.
Painting of a sleeping bat wrapped in its wings, set on a coffin-shaped wooden background with a blue-green gradient.

He paints in oil and acrylic mediums on both canvas and wood slabs.

“My work explores the enigmatic and the macabre.

My dark oil paintings evoke dreamlike, occult realms—where villains and victims intertwine, reflecting life's fragile balance. I use a digital-to-traditional methods; sketch digitally, arrange a test composition, then paint traditionally using my designs as reference.

Woodland Wanderers presents fable-like creatures on maple and walnut, guardians of secrets, clad in armor and cloaks—embodying survival amid peril. My Children of the Night series features bats, rendered atop walnut coffin shapes with unsettling innocence.

I'm influenced by gothic literature, illustrators, and silent cinema; my art aims to evoke unease and wonder—a haunting, beautiful world lurking just beyond the veil.”
